Job Summary
We’re seeking a hands-on ICT Field Engineer to deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain ICT and security infrastructure at client sites. You’ll handle networking, structured cabling, endpoint and server setups, biometric/access control devices, and provide excellent onsite support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and support network devices (routers, switches, access points, firewalls).
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues (onsite & remote).
- Conduct site surveys, prepare BoQs, and execute new installs/upgrades.
- Implement and certify structured cabling (UTP/fiber, racks, patch panels).
- Deploy and support biometric & fingerprint door access, CCTV/Surveillance, and IP-PBX/VoIP solutions.
- Support internet services, VPNs, cloud workloads, Microsoft 365/Email, and basic server roles.
- Maintain accurate documentation (topologies, configs, handover & service reports).
- Provide user training and handovers; collaborate with project & sales teams for smooth delivery.
- Adhere to HSE standards and client SOPs at all job sites.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Degree/Diploma in IT/Computer Science/Telecoms or related field.
- 2–4 years of field experience in ICT/network engineering.
- Solid grounding in TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, QoS.
- Experience with MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Cisco/HP/Aruba; Fortinet/Sophos a plus.
- Hands-on with cabling standards (TIA/EIA), crimping, splicing, testing (OTDR/Fluke).
- Exposure to access control, CCTV (NVR/ONVIF), and IP-PBX/VoIP is highly preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and meet field SLAs.
Nice-to-Have
- Windows Server/Linux basics, virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware).
- Microsoft 365 administration, email/DNS records.
- Tally deployment/integration exposure.
- Vendor certifications (MTCNA, CCNA, Ubiquiti, Fortinet NSE, etc.).
